Lousie Brooks was an iconic screen persona and a great performer of the silent 1920s. She was a sexually liberated woman, not afraid to experiment, even posing fully nude for "art" photography and some of the films she played considered shocking in their time.
Brooks was characterised as being a rebellious - eccentric person and an independent spirit. One of her key films was the Diary Of A Lost Girl but her most memorable role was playing Lulu in Pandora's Box in 1929. She is definitely a silent film legend.
